Your data is kept with care, minimized, protected, and never sold.
Astrosophy is operated by Vega Creatives LLC.
We store the email address used for your account, an optional name or display name, verification records, and the account, trial, and membership status needed to operate the service.
Authentication is provided using self-hosted Appwrite software. Astrosophy does not receive or store your plaintext password.
If you use personalized chart features, we process the birth date, birth time, and birth place that you provide. We also process coordinates derived from the place search and the astrological positions or chart data calculated from that information.
This information is used to provide the chart and related personalized features you request.
Astrosophy does not currently collect or store saved reflections or journal-style entries.
Stripe handles payment-card information directly.
Astrosophy may store Stripe customer or payment identifiers, membership status, transaction status, amounts, dates, and other records required for account administration, reconciliation, refunds, fraud prevention, accounting, or legal compliance.
We do not receive or store full payment-card numbers.
Our systems and infrastructure providers may process IP address, browser and connection information, request timestamps, security events, and diagnostic information where reasonably necessary to operate, protect, and troubleshoot the service.
If you subscribe to Astrosophy updates, your email address, subscription status, and delivery information are handled for that purpose. Newsletter subscription is optional and separate from creating an Astrosophy account or purchasing membership.
The core Astrosophy application and self-hosted database run on infrastructure hosted by Hetzner in Germany.
Appwrite is used as self-hosted software for account, database, and application functions. Describing Appwrite as “self-hosted” means Astrosophy operates that software on infrastructure hosted for us; it does not mean every company used by Astrosophy is located in Germany.
Some supporting services — including payment, email, security, geocoding, and analytics providers — may process limited information in other countries. The Privacy Policy explains those providers and international-transfer safeguards in more detail.
Astrosophy uses technical and organizational measures designed to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or loss.
As applicable, these measures include HTTPS/TLS encryption for data transmitted between your browser and Astrosophy, authenticated account access, access controls and restricted administrative access, and provider-managed password security.
They also include network, abuse, and bot-protection measures, security and operational logging where necessary, separation of payment-card processing from the Astrosophy application, and a boundary that keeps PostHog analytics away from account and personalized chart pages.
No internet service can promise absolute security.
Information stored in your browser may be accessible to someone who has access to your unlocked device, browser profile, or signed-in session. Astrosophy does not represent that ordinary browser local storage is separately encrypted by Astrosophy at rest.
If a personal-data breach occurs, we will investigate it and make notifications where applicable law requires them.

Providers can change as the service evolves. Material changes to the way personal information is handled will be reflected in the Privacy Policy.
Google Analytics (through Google Tag Manager) and PostHog run when a page loads, without a separate opt-in.
Google Analytics runs on all pages. PostHog runs on public pages only, not on account, personalized chart, or member-only personal chart pages. The analytics notice on the site is informational only.
Astrosophy does not use advertising cookies or cross-site behavioral advertising.
Account and personalized service information is retained only while it is needed for the account and the purposes described in the Privacy Policy, subject to legal, security, payment, and backup requirements.
You may request account deletion through the available account controls or by contacting us.
Payment, tax, accounting, dispute, security, or legal records may need to be retained after account deletion where applicable law permits or requires it.
Information stored only in your browser remains on your device until it is removed through Astrosophy, the browser, or the device.
Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to certain processing; withdraw consent; opt out of certain uses; appeal certain privacy decisions; or complain to a privacy or data-protection authority.
Your privacy rights do not depend on whether you are a paying member.
